Goss Meets Live

A couple of nights ago I went onto instagram to find that I had won tickets from Goss.ie to an event that they where running called Goss Meets Live. The ticket was for myself and a plus one and turns out my sister had got one too. So myself, my sister, Mam and Aunty headed along on Sunday to Lillie Bordellos for the event.

Goss meets live was an event by Goss.ie and sponsored by Vit Hit. Being interviewed where Grace from Faces by Grace, James Kavanagh, Marisa Carter from Cocoa Brown Tan and James Patrice.  I follow all of these on snapchat so as soon as I saw the lineup I knew I would enjoy it. They were all as lovely as they seem online and I love seeing that and all so down to earth too. They also had some lovely cupcakes and pizza and even a few VitHit games like bowling and bottle flipping. I'm not so great at bottle flipping or bowling by the looks of it. It was really nice to hear about everyone talk their lives and business and not be behind a camera haha.

They also gave everyone a goodie bag which had lots of nice treats inside. The goodie bag contained Cocoa Browns Chocolate whip, 2 bottles of VitHit (Mandarin and Apple & Elderflower), 2 Packets of Proper Corn (Sweet Coconut & Vanilla and Smooth Peanut & Almond) , Essence Liquid Lipstick 05 peach party and Essence nail polish 24 chrome paradise.

They also had a Magic mirror to take lovely selfie at. I love how they turned out and love the idea for events it looks like a giant mirror with an interactive screen that you can even write your name or a message on to print off on the photo. I had a great evening and loved walking down Grafton Street at Christmas on the way home.

Stuff I bought this week

I am supposed to be on a budget and in major saving mode but I sort of went a bit off it this week and bought a few things. In my defense the most expensive thing here that I bought was the pink runners that were a whole €8. Everything else was under €3.50.

The eye shadow brush I got from H&M, It's called smokey eye shadow brush and is double ended. I got around to using it today and I really like it. it blends colours quite well and is very soft. I also bought the glittery nail polish in H&M as well but haven't used it yet but can't wait to I love glitter especially glittery nail polish.

I also picked up a new mascara in Pennys. I got the NYC Big and Bold Volume mascara (the big yellow one). I have heard a lot of good things about this mascara and couldn't wait to get my hands on one but until today I couldn't find one. I now understand why others love it so much, my eyelashes look amazing! They are definitely big and have volume. Think I might pick up another one and put it away as I have a habit of losing mascara and eyeliner.

Again in Pennys I came across a lovely eye shadow palette and eye shadow brush which are part of the P.S Love... collection. The brush is double ended. I'm not a big fan of the brush I have very sensitive skin on my eyelids and found the brush a little rough, but it was only €1.50 so I didn't really expect that much from it. On the other hand I really love the eye shadow palette. It has a few glittery colours such as a shimmery navy  shade and a bronze which I love. I like all the shades in this palette and while trying it out found that they work very well together to create some nice looks.

I got the pink runners in Pennys as well but an very disappointed. I love these little runners that they have and have always bought a size 6 but when I got these home I tried them on and they where tiny! They may have been labeled a six but where more like a 5. I couldn't even get my whole foot into them. This will teach me to try them on in the shop from now on and at least my sister who is a size 5 is very happy with her new pink runners.

Shopping

While I'm supposed to be saving money at the moment I can't help but pick up a few bits here and there especially when its a bargain. This is what I've managed to accumulate in a week. (Must try better at saving).

Batiste Dry shampoo - Seductive & Elegant Lace
Essence eyebrow designer - 02 brown
Lacura Mosaic Blush - Pink
Essence all -in-one BB cream - 02 Natural
Kelly Brook Blusher - Bardot
Kelly Brook nail polish - Regal Riches

I got the Dry shampoo, brow pencil and BB cream in Unicare Pharmacy. I have just run out of BB cream and as I couldn't get to where I had bought it before I thought I'd give the Essence one a go. I'm pretty happy with it, it goes on great and doesn't look like its disappeared halfway trough the day. I wouldn't feel very confident going without make up but have a lot of problems finding a good foundation that suits my skin I definitely prefer BB creams. I also like that it is SPF 30 as I think it's very important to protect your skin.

The brow pencil is actually a little light for me at the moment as I have just had my eyebrows darkened. But does go on nicely and very easy to use I was able to get good shape using this pencil. I normally use powder so it was nice to see the difference.

I love dry shampoo as my skin seems to be oily these days I find that sometimes the front sections of my hair look a little flat during the day when I wear it down. Dry shampoo gives it a little boost and keeps it looking volumised and the smell is gorgeous. I like to buy the little travel sized ones to keep in my bag for days and nights out.

The Kelly Brook Blusher and nail polish I picked up in New Look conveniently placed at the Que for the till! Well played new look well played. The blusher is so cute it comes in an adorable bow imprinted into it and a a little brush and mirror underneath the blusher. I liked this blusher on, I think it gives me a more natural look. I am trying to find a nice day look and I think this fits what I would like. I would normally go for a darker shade like my favourite Beneifit Coralista. The nail polish is a light, almost transparent purple with some sparkle ( I love sparkle). It drys quickly so for people with no patience like me its great.

Last but not least I found this Lacura Mosaic Blush in Aldi and a complete bargain at only 50 cent that I just had to buy and try it out and I'm happy I did as its lovely on.
