3D Foundation Brush

This 3D brush looks a little strange but interesting at the same time. I bought it on ebay for €2 and postage was free. I arrived yesterday and I just couldn't wait to try it out. Sometimes it's hard to tell if something that looks good on line will look good once it arrives and if the quality will be good. When I opened the packaging it was in it was all wrapped up in plastic and the bristles looked like they had survived the trip.

The handle is nice, it's thick put not uncomfortable just right to hold and of course pink with a little shine to it. I also love the gold ...so shiny. The bristles are the softest ever and when I was using it I just kept thinking but it was only €2. The angles of the brush work really well for me applying my foundation. It helps me around the areas like under my eyes. It's also great for around my nose and helps give my foundation a really good finish. It's also a great brush for contouring and blending while contouring.

Being so cheap I always wonder if there is a catch I just haven't come across yet but so far so good. No bristles shedding and no bad finish with foundation. I'm not sure how long it will last but taken care of I'm sure it will be fine. So what I'm saying it I found a great cheap brush that's really really soft and looks great.

W7 Absolute Lashes

I bought this a little while ago in my local chemist for just under five euro but its only over the last couple of weeks that I have been using it. The packaging looks very smiler to a Benefit mascara. I haven't used that mascara before so I can't compare them or anything.

The wand is a nice size, not gigantic but not tiny and is easy to use. The mascara itself is nice to apply it doesn't seem to clump my lashes together and makes them look nice and long. I have been using the shade "blackest black" as I love my eye lashes dark and it does do that. It also separate my lashes out a bit and makes my eyes look a little more open which is always good on a night out after a long day or an early morning after a late night.

If I could change one thing about this it would be that it would be waterproof. I do like this mascara a lot and have been wearing it daily but unfortunately I have been left looking like a panda a couple of times just doing normal things like cooking. The steam made it rub off under my eyes and then there was the chopping an onion incident lol. I hate chopping onions as my eyes water like crazy for about a half an hour after but this time I couldn't do anything to stop the mascara running down my face. I looked like a mad woman. At least nobody really saw me. As a day to day product it is good don't get me wrong but if you have eyes that water a lot then maybe it might not be for you.

Latest bakes

So recently Iv'e been doing a little bit of baking so I thought I would share what Iv'e made.

Pink and white girly cake

Here's the communion cake I made for a little girl called Natasha. She asked for a white and pink decorated 2 tier cake. The inside was chocolate sponge with chocolate fudge icing. The house also smelled like chocolate all day.

Very chocolate cake

Another communion cake this time for a little boy called Josh. He asked for a very chocolatey cake. So here is what I made. It's chocolate sponge, dark chocolate fudge icing with milk chocolate fudge icing around the top. I was also asked to decorate it with gold letters and a butterfly. The little gold balls on the bottom are painted malteasers.

Cookies

I seem to be making these cookies a lot recently. There chocolate chip and sprinkle vanilla cookies. There so easy to make and I made it even easier when I made up a big batch divided it up and froze them so all I had to do was defrost and bake.

Look What I bought.

Today I finally got around to getting myself a new laptop. I have had none since last summer when my last one broke and this time there was no repairing it. I had it 6 years and had taken quite a few knocks so it was it's time really. I didn't mind at first not having one as I was going to travel for a bit so my sister bought me a tablet as a present and it was perfect for that. But now that I'm home and am sick of borrowing other peoples laptops I decided to get one. I actually wanted to get one ages ago but just couldn't make up my mind. Then I saw this Chromebook while looking them up online and it sounded perfect. I have heard about them before but didn't know all that much.

This is the one I choose. It's a HP Chromebook 14. It was only €270, nice and light and is 14 inches. It has 2GB ram which is fine for me and 16GB hardrive which also is fine as it uses google drive for storage and I am getting myself an external hard drive anyway. My last laptop I stored feck all on as after a while it will only slow everything down. I have never used Chrome OS before now but its so simple to use. It's a bit like linix so I'm happy. Other then that its exactly what I wanted and best of all so pretty. Its white and blue a particular shade of blue that I love.

Hopefully from now on I will have lots more blog posts now that I don't have to wait for someone to not be using their laptops lol. I have been finding that part a little difficult so now I can finally get on with blogging all I want.

What I found on ebay

OK so I think at this stage everyone knows how addictive eBay can be right? You know you go on for a little look or to look for one new make up brush and a hour later you have found about an million new things that you now have to have and can no longer live with out being yours. Well at least I hope others are like this too or maybe I need to rethink my life lol. Well this is what happened to me I went on eBay (why did my tablet come with the eBay app ๐Ÿ˜•) to look for a new powder brush as my old one has seen better days and I thought I would get a cheap one to do me for now. That's what the plan was but then I saw all these lovely pink brushes and start to think well a lot my brushes have seen better days and they look good and they don't cost that much. Oh and then I saw the lip plumping suction tools or whatever they are called. I keep seeing these and am dying to give them a go even if its just for a bit of fun. I've seen a few posts and videos about them and they all say there about €20 or so but these where €8/8.50 for all three sizes. Crazy so I couldn't close the page I had to buy them. The other brushes where all very well priced too. Actually this whole lot only cost €25 at the most including potage. The only downside is the waiting for them to come so I can play with it all ๐Ÿ™Œ. I will of course do a proper post about them all when they arrive which should be fun trying out the lip plumper things lol. But for now I thought I would share my fantastic finds.

W7 Camera Ready Face Primer

I found this a in my local chemist that now seems to be selling W7. Which is great there is so much I want to try. I saw loads of new things I wanted to try but since this was the only one left of this I grabbed it lol. I didn't want to miss out on it or anything.

Anyway more about what I thought about it. It looks and feels very like other primers I have bought for a lot more then €5. It has that lovely silky feel that I love about primers. When I put it on to my oily and porey areas it gave it a very smooth silky feel to it. My main areas for this are my nose, chin and cheeks. After about an hour or so make up in these areas usually just slide off. I'm always on the look out for new primers to keep it in place and to help with applying foundation as well as help with the look of my skin too. My make up stayed in place for a good while with this and I even used it knowing I would be going to the gym and still stayed in place. I know going to the gym with make up on is a little crazy but I don't go crazy full make up or anything, usually just a bit of primer mixed with a light foundation to help with my patchy skin. This was another thing I wanted to write about. I mixed it with a little bit of light foundation for days that I don't need a lot of makeup and some primers are crap for this they just don't sit well but this is a great one.

I have a few more W7 product that I will get around to reviewing soon hopefully. It's a little hard to keep up with a blog when I don't have a laptop anymore ๐Ÿ˜ข.

Make up Gallery Pressed Powder and Matte Bronzer Review

During a recent trip over to Dealz I bought these two powders to try out. I haven't bought anything of this make before and usually wouldn't even notice them. When I was waling throught the shop browsing I noticed a few women around this makeup stand and being a little nosy I stopped to have a look. I first saw the smoothly does it pressed powder then the Good to glow matte bronzer. The fist thing I liked was the shades as I am very fair sometimes powders can be too dark for me and I usually stick to the same type every time. I though since they where only €1.49 each that they where a least worth a shot and if I didn't like them or they made me break out then at least I didn't waste all that much on them.

Here is what I thought of them.

Make Up Gallery Smoothly does it pressed powder Natural Beige two.

First of all this is what it say's about itself. Super soft matte powder for a shine free finish. Contains vitamin E.

I tried this on on my skin to test the shade and it worked really well, it's a good match and is almost like translucent powder. It is as it says super soft my skin instantly felt really silky soft when I applied it. It goes on well and when I used t to set my concealer under my eyes it didn't cake or look chalky which is never a good look ever. My skin is very dry in parts so I usually use powders very sparingly to those parts but even when I did it looked good. I have used it a few times and it kept the shiny parts of my skin shine free and I didn't have to keep reapplying it all the time.

Make Up GalleryGood to glow matte bronzerMatte light 1

This is described as a super soft matte bronzer for a natural glow. Contains Vitamin E, UVA and UVB filters.

Well firstly this is the first matte bronzer I have ever owned. I usually go for bronzer with a little sparkle in it but for a change I wanted to try a matte. I think it might have something to do with getting a matte lipgloss a while ago and now wanting to try everything matte lol. I love contouring and would usually use a bronzer for it everyday, not crazy over the top contouring but subtle day time sort of contouring. I applied this to under my cheekbones and my forehead and slightly down the sides of my nose. When I do this most days I use a cream contour that not too dark so that it doesn't stand out all that much. So for me I was hoping that this would work like that but also give me a little variety to what I usually use. I chose well with this I think. Because its really soft it goes on really well and blends in well too. It's not a dark shade but I would say that if I had of gone for a shade up it would have been. This colour suits me well and the finish is good.

I notice that they had a lot more product o the smae stand has anyone tried any of them? If you have any suggestions what I could try next let me know.

March Favourites

I feel Like I only just posted my February favourites and now march is already over. Here's what I've been loving this March.

Real Techniques Brushes

I finally got around to getting myself some Real Techniques Brushes. I know they have been around for ages but I really like the brushes I had but I have had them ages and they where in need of replacing. These brushes are so soft and gives a good finish. I use them all the time now and so glad I bought them.
The brushes I got are:
Multi task brush which I have been using for powder.
Buffing brush I use for my foundation.
Contour brush which I have been using for contouring and blush.
Domed shadow brush I use for highlighting my cheekbones.
Detailer brush I like to use for concealer
Essential foundation brush and pointed foundation brush I have been using when applying cream contour.
I played around with them and this is how I kept using them and how I found they worked best for me.

P.S. Love Make-up Brush Cleanser

Since I bought new brushes I thought I should get myself a brush cleanser too. I picked this up for €2.50 in penneys and it works great as an everyday cleaner. I do still deep clean them with my brush egg and shampoo but only once a week as apposed to all the time now. I suffer from acne and I'm very fussy about only using clean brushes so that i don't make it worse. It's so easy to use all you have to do is spray it on the brushes then I use kitchen paper to clean them.

Britney Spears Ionic Hair Brush

I got this as part of my Christmas present from my sister and have used it a lot since then but over the last month I have started to use it all the time. It works with batterys. All I do is turn it on and brush my hair and it gets rid of all the frizz and static in my hair. I was a little skeptical to it at first thinking will it really get rid of frizz but it does work and leaves my hair silky and soft looking. I don't even use my straighteners as much any more as I have found that just blowdrying my hair and brushing it with this brush gives it a really nice finish. I wish I had this when my hair was longer and really frizzy and I practically fried it with a straightener daily.

10 Thing I have learned in the last year.

Over the last year I have had some good times and some low and have learned some very good lessons from it all. So here is a list of things I have learned.
  1.  Never let anyone make me feel like I don't matter. When someone treats me badly it says more about them then it does about me.
  2.  Putting myself out of my comfort zone can help me achieve things I never thought I could but I am still afraid of heights.
  3.  That I can live out of a suitcase and that I don't actually need a million possessions. But they are nice to have.
  4.  There are some that will always be there for me when I need them and some that wont.
  5.  I don't always need others to do things for me and that I am capable of a lot more then I think.
  6. Getting a random tattoo on the inside of my lip is probably not the wisest choice I have ever made but was a bit of fun at the time.
  7.  Always go with my gut instinct it's usually right.
  8. Just because I haven't planned it doesn't mean it wont work out well.
  9. Not to let anyone drag me into their problems because it is just that, their problems not mine.
  10. This is the most important of them all to me. That when people lie about something they will try to convince as many people as they can that they haven't but all lies have a way of falling apart in the end so don't ever worry about it when you are the one that was in the right because you know the truth and eventually so will everyone else.  Always think positive.
